Matthew Carlson, Owner
Matthew has a versatile skill set that includes razor cutting, scissor work, color, hair extensions, and men’s grooming. Matthew excels in foil work, lived-in color, Balayage, and gray coverage. With decades of experience, he remains current with advanced training in the latest styles and techniques. His certifications are Goldwell Ambassador, Redken stylist and hair extensions. Matthew is internationally educated with advanced classes at London’s Toni & Guy, Vidal Sassoon and HOB salons. He has taken classes at New York’s Bumble & Bumble and from notable stylists: Josh Lamonaca, Jamie Sea, Daniel M., Ami Bulaon, Michelle Zeller, and Jamie Park.
Shirley Ching-Meltzer
Shirley, an expert stylist, turned her natural ability and passion for artistry into a prestigious career cutting and styling an elite, worldwide clientele. Her accolades include features in Vogue and Lucky magazines. Born in Hawaii, Shirley trained to be a visual artist at the San Francisco Institute of Art. Her career in hairdressing began at Architects and Heroes Salon in San Francisco as a trainee and eventually, a favored stylist. She moved to New York to join Bumble & Bumble where she flourished and became known for her cutting-edge style.

Katie Rabatsky
Katie, a former student at Southeastern Regional High School, discovered her passion for hairdressing early on. Driven by her love for styling hair, she embarked on a career path that allowed her to turn her passion into a profession. During her studies, Katie gained valuable hands-on experience as an intern at Station Row Salon, where she honed her skills and learned the art of hairstyling. Now, as a full-time professional, Katie offers a wide range of services to her clients, focusing on creating personalized looks that enhance their natural beauty. Her dedication and commitment are evident as she continues to build her career at Station Row Salon.
Shaighla Nevins
Shaighla is a highly experienced stylist with an extensive background in the beauty industry. Having worked exclusively in prestigious areas of Boston’s financial district, Back Bay, the seaport, and now Newton, MA, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her craft. With an impressive 19 years of experience, Shaighla has become an expert in styling all hair types. Her services range from classic cuts to bold and creative styles. Notably, she has pursued advanced education in color and editorial styling, ensuring that every appointment is customized to meet the client’s desires and lifestyle
Nicole Barrera
Nicole received her advanced hairstyling training at the Aveda Institute in Arizona and is current on fashion-forward hair trends. Nicole has been a North American Hairstylist Awards nominee, created Avant-Garde hairstyles on stage for hair shows, and has trained alongside the industry's top educators. Nicole specializes in Balayage, enhancing natural hair texture and creating effortless movable shapes in her cutting technique. Nicole collaborates with her clients to provide customizable hairstyles that bring out their best feature.
Michelle Macias-Lautenbach
Michelle, has carved out a niche in esthetics, focusing on enhancing her clients’ natural beauty. Michelle attended and graduated from the Elizabeth Grady School of Esthetics and Massage. This foundational training equipped her with the skills needed to work in the field of esthetics. She further honed her expertise by taking advanced training in lash makeovers from Beautie Lashes and Lash Makers. These specialized courses provided her with the knowledge and techniques to create stunning lash transformations.
Tony Fox
Tony began his career in the beauty industry as an apprentice in Europe, where he received comprehensive training in all aspects of hairdressing. With several decades of experience, Tony has honed his skills in cutting and coloring hair. His talent has been recognized through awards, including the New England Goldwell color competition. Tony’s expertise lies in highlighting and coloring hair, and he has continued to enhance his abilities by attending advanced coloring classes at Vidal Sassoon Academy.
Em Thomas
Em is a graduate of Paul Mitchell The School. His passion for beauty started with makeup, where he discovered the power of helping people feel more confident in their appearance. This sparked a deep interest in hairstyling, leading Em to pursue a cosmetology license. With a love for creativity and personal expression, Em is dedicated to honing his craft and expanding his knowledge in all areas of haircutting and coloring.
